Refugee Resettlement in NC Panel Discussion
January 25, 4:30-6:00pm Rubenstein Library 153
Are you working with refugee populations in NC? Join us for a discussion on refugee resettlement in Durham and a successful micro-enterprise project for refugees in Greensboro. Ellen Andrews, Director of CWS in Durham, will discuss how her organization provides clients with case management services, immigration legal services, English classes, and assistance with employment. Maha Elobeid will present the MERIT Project, a program from the Center for New North Carolinians funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement and implemented in partnership with the NC African Services Coalition that has supplied training, mentoring, and loans to refugees living in the Triad for the past four years.
