This course provides the theoretical, analytical & practical knowledge to facilitate community based social change. Is a prep course for students who plan to conduct community-based research & service projects, funded through the Service Opportunities in Leadership (SOL) program or other field research opportunities. Through activities & discussions based on narrative readings, case studies, film clips & reflective practice, students will develop framework for analyzing complex problems, value conflicts, the skills & mindset to navigate these in order mobilize groups, institutions & systems to facilitate social change & for sustained lifelong leadership.
