Dr. Premlata Vaishnava, Lecturer in the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Department, took her Hindi 102 class to the Sikh Gurudwara of North Carolina (a temple for Sikh people from India) and students really enjoyed the almost 4 hours visit at the temple. The students participated in prayers, rituals, and the lunch. Students interacted with the community members in Hindi and English. The students met later in the semester to learn how to prepare Chaat and further conversations.
