Master of Theology Student
Greetings! I am a ThM and aspiring ThD student at Duke Divinity School. I am new to Duke, Durham, and North Carolina as I have just relocated from Georgia. I am not from Atlanta, but I earned my MDiv and certifications at Candler School of Theology (Emory University) where I worked with both incarcerated and formerly incarcerated populations which was an extension of the work I did as an Education Specialist at the Georgia Department of Corrections. I am interested in how the partnering of spirituality and practicality in our community engagement practices could create a more holistic, intentional, and purposeful existence without the formalities of religion and church as we know/perceive it.
As a Service-Learning Assistant, I worked with Dr. Jessica Sperling's Public Policy Class (890) on Understanding Evaluation Design and Implementation. This spring, I assist Dr. Amy Anderson in Education 303S: De/Re/Segregation in Education: A Case of Back to the Future?
