Major in Psychology

Class of 2024
Major in Psychology; Minors in Global Health and French Studies

I am a Senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Global Health and French Studies on the pre-medicine track. At Duke, I am involved as co-president of the Duke Persian Students Association, enjoy playing intramural volleyball, and I do research with the Duke Identity and Diversity lab in social psychology! Outside of school, I enjoy fashion and collecting plants.

My work as an SLA for FRENCH 325S pairs perfectly with my personal and academic interests. This course interacts with francophone refugees living in the Durham area, partnering with World Relief Durham and Church World Services to provide a variety of volunteer opportunities for Duke students enrolled in the course, such as ESL course assistants, child enrichment programs, and more. I have worked previously with WRD as an interpreter and am involved at Duke as a lead of the Refugee PALS mentorship program, so my background and experiences add to my work as an SLA.
