Outside of academics, I'm involved in Bull City Scholars, the Black Students Alliance, and the Black Women's Union. I enjoy watching a show or a movie, reading a book, or getting out and trying something new in my free time.
I'm the current SLA for Dr. Kisha Daniels's Critical Pedagogy of Hip Hop class. In my position, I often attend classes and coordinate the logistics of service learning at Neal Middle School. I'll help bridge the gap between Duke and Neal as we facilitate literacy and writing teaching using hip-hop in a middle school classroom.
