I’m a senior majoring in Economics with a finance concentration and minoring in African & African American Studies. My academic interests focus on economic disparities, social justice, and the intersection of finance and equity. At Duke, I’ve conducted research on the impact of trauma on juvenile justice courts and the effects of inadequate gender representation in the entertainment industry. I also serve as president of Duke’s policy think tank, The American Futures Institute.
As a Service-Learning Assistant for Econ 337S: Social Inequalities and Low-Wage Work, I support students in connecting economic theory with real-world applications. I act as a liaison between Durham nonprofit Student U and our class, helping to create an engaging and meaningful community-based learning environment.
Outside of academics, I enjoy pop culture, long walks around East Campus, and discovering the best lunch spots in Durham.
