Majoring in History; Minoring in Education

I’m a sophomore at Duke majoring in History with a minor in Education. As part of the 2024 Secondary Teacher Preparation Program, I will be licensed to teach high school social studies upon graduation. I’m also pursuing a certificate in Documentary Studies. As a Service-Learning Assistant for Dr. Kisha Daniels' Critical Pedagogy of Hip Hop class, I coordinate the service-learning component, assist in developing curriculum, and conduct research. This semester, I’m working with a local high school to explore how incorporating hip hop into the curriculum impacts student outcomes.
