Request a Service-Learning Label for Your Course!

Service-Learning is a signature program of the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences and is a fantastic way of fulfilling Duke’s commitment to knowledge in the service of society. Students who participate in the courses regularly report that they find the service component to be intellectually stimulating and to give them a sense of positive impact on the local community.

You may request the service-learning label as early as you like, but to insure that your request in processed before book bagging opens, please submit requests for Fall courses by Spring break, and requests for Spring courses by Fall break. Once we have approved your request, we'll work with your department to insure that the service-learning label appears in the registration system and if appropriate, the course catalog.
