Major in Cultural Anthropology; Minors in Earth & Climate Sciences and Cinematic Arts; Certificate in Documentary Studies

Class of 2025

I’m a senior from Tibet majoring in Cultural Anthropology, with minors in Earth & Climate Sciences and Cinematic Arts, and a certificate in Documentary Studies. I’m passionate about traveling internationally, engaging with local communities, and sharing their stories through film and writing. I’ve camped at Everest Base Camp, snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, and I think in four languages — which, as a filmmaker, often translates into framing stories visually.

As a Service-Learning Assistant for Digital Documentary Photography: Education, Childhood, and Growth, I help students use visual storytelling to explore meaningful topics in today’s world. I support them with both the technical and ethical aspects of photography and multimedia production, drawing on my own experience in the course and related classes. I enjoy mentoring students as they develop projects that reflect education, social change, and personal experiences, shaping cohesive bodies of work that capture the nuances of human life.

Outside of academics, I love exploring new places, making films, and connecting with people through their stories.
