I’m a second-year Master of Environmental Management student at Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment. My academic work focuses on environmental economics and policy, along with terrestrial and freshwater environments. I’m especially interested in agricultural policy and sustainable soil management, but I take a systems approach to policy solutions, which has led me to explore areas like antitrust law, political ecology, and international trade policy.
Before coming to Duke, I worked as a consultant on federal workforce development and public assistance programs, with a focus on increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in youth participation. I also have experience in grassroots environmental justice organizing in Washington state.
As a Service-Learning Assistant, I support Dr. Genna Miller’s course, Econ 337S: Social Inequalities and Low-Wage Work. I coordinate student volunteer hours with our community partner Student U, and help students reflect on their tutoring experiences with middle and high school students to connect their service with classroom learning.
