Master of Science in Population Health Sciences

Class of 2026

I’m a second-year Master’s student in the Population Health Sciences Department, with interests in health economics and outcomes research as well as health policy. I enjoy the interdisciplinary nature of my program, which allows me to approach complex health issues from multiple angles.

I first got involved with service-learning as an undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I completed the Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Certificate. Those courses introduced me to meaningful community-based research and shaped many of the research topics I pursued later. I was excited to discover Duke’s SLCE program and to continue that work here.

As a Service-Learning Assistant, I support both communications and research/assessment projects, bringing my interest in writing, design, and storytelling into the work. Outside of academics, I enjoy baking and sharing new cookie recipes with friends.
